Amy's Closet resells donated clothing. Every piece is inspected three times before it reaches the rack, and 10% of every sale goes to Love Chapel, a food pantry in Columbus, Indiana.

You donate
Drop off the clothes you no longer wear. Clean, gently used pieces get a second life here.
We inspect, three times
Every item is checked on intake, after cleaning, and again before it's listed or hung.

Shoppers, resellers and bulk buyers get quality clothing at a fair price.

A tenth of every sale goes to Love Chapel to help keep its food pantry stocked.
Triple inspected before it hits the rack
Donations come in, and only the good stuff goes out. Every item goes through three separate checks before it's posted online or placed in the store.
Sorted on arrival
We sort each donation the day it comes in and pull anything with stains, holes, odors or heavy wear.
Cleaned and tested
Items are freshened up, then we test zippers, buttons, snaps and seams, and look closely at the fabric.
Final look
One last look under good light before it's photographed, posted or hung. If it isn't right, it doesn't go out.
Best practices for donating
A few minutes of prep helps more of your donation make it to the rack, and that means more money for Love Chapel.
Please do
- Wash or dry-clean everything before you drop it off.
- Check pockets for cash, keys, receipts and IDs.
- Make sure zippers, buttons and snaps work.
- Fold items or keep them on hangers, and bag them by type (tops, pants, kids, shoes).
- Keep shoes together in pairs. A rubber band or tied laces works.
- Bring in-season clothing when you can. It sells faster.
- Donate accessories too: belts, scarves, handbags and jewelry.
Please don't
- Items with stains, rips, holes, pilling or missing buttons
- Anything that smells of smoke, mildew or pets
- Used underwear or socks, or worn swimwear
- Wet or damp bags, which can spoil everything inside
- Recalled children's items

Resellers welcome
Do you run a booth, an online shop or a pop-up? Shop with us. If you need more than a few pieces, we'll put together a bulk order for you: a size run, a style, a season or a whole category.

- Tell us what you're looking for, and we'll pull from incoming donations.
- Every bulk sale gives 10% to Love Chapel too.
